Dear members of the User Involvement Committee,
motivated by our previous annual seminars for the members of the User Involvement Committee where we learned about using social media and blogging, we have arranged one for this year as well. Since we have all been forced to deliver most of our talks virtually this season, we thought this would be a very useful topic for our upcoming seminar. As our annual conference will be virtual, we decided to open the seminar also to the authors of the accepted papers at the conference, conference participants and other interested members of the CLARIN community. In addition to the seminar, we have also arranged for hands-on try-out sessions in small groups.
The seminar will take place in Zoom on 14 September 15:00-17:00 CEST. A Q&A session will take place 17:00-18:00 CEST. Try-out sessions will de done in small groups on 17 September. The description of the seminar and information about the trainer is copied below.

Webinar ‘How to present online’
Imagine your paper has been accepted. You are invited to give a 10-minute oral presentation at an online scientific conference. How would you prepare your presentation? How to obtain the best results? In this webinar you will learn to present online your message with impact.
The following elements will be discussed:
• What makes presenting online different?
• How can you find a clear message, without going into too much detail?
• How do you keep the attention of your audience?
• What do you say in your first minute and how to close?
• Can you use the same slides for online presentations?
• How to deliver your presentation in front of the webcam?
