[Userinvolvement] Overview of existing parallel corpora and info on cross-disciplinary CL in CLARIN-UK

Dear all,

please take a look at the overivew of existing parallel corpora we have prepared by examining the VLO, local repositories, the Metashare catalogue, the LRE map and Google:

We’d really appreciate it if you could add any resources and info that we have missed and correct any mistakes we have made. Comments and suggestions by email are welcome too. We are collecting feedback by September 1 after which we will publish the overview.

Let me also share the link to the slides from the CLARIN-UK workshop on cross-disciplinary corpus linguistics that was organized by Martin Wynne within the Corpus Linguistics Conference in Birmingham last week: http://www.clarin.ac.uk/event/clarin-uk-promoting-cross-disciplinary-corpus-linguistics

In my opinion, the workshop was a big success, the overview of the work conducted at UK consortium members was fascinating and the atmosphere extremely pleasant. There is a genuine interest in closer involvement in CLARIN among consortium members. I really enjoyed the event and would like to thank Martin for organizing it.
