[Tf-curation] [TF-CMDI] Scheduling TF Metadata Curation F2F meeting in Vienna - finally

Dear all,

more info on the Metadata Curation F2F meeting (30.1. - 1.2. lunch to lunch), so that you can make your travel arrangements.

The meeting venue is:

ACDH-ÖAW
Sonnenfelsgasse 19 (2nd floor)
1010 Vienna

It's right in the city centre.


The nearest hotels:

But there is plenty others near.


It's also walking distance from the train station: Wien Mitte/Landstraße

where both the fast (16 min) CAT (12 EUR)  and the "slow" (22 min) train (3,9 EUR) from the airport arrive.

So you need basically around half an hour to get from the airport to our place.


So much for the practicalities.

We will circulate agenda only somewhere mid January.

Dear all,

long promised and awaited, finally I would like to organise a F2F meeting for metadata curation.
The location would be Vienna.
I would propose either two full days, or three days lunch to lunch.
The idea would be to make it as hands-on as possible.
We could either approach it by collections / profiles / records, or by individual facets.
Two facets high on my agenda/wish-list are resource type and license/availability.
We would still work out a detailed agenda in due time.
I would then call for a telco in preparation for the F2F to ensure maximum efficiency. ;)

In the middle of January (16 – 19) we will have a technical meeting on VLO (with focus of value normalisation) in Nijmegen, which ties in well with the curation efforts.

Please indicate what would be feasible dates for you. And let me know, if you have any questions, observations.
Dieter, would you see any options for CLARIN to co-finance this, or are we on our own budgets?
