Dear all,
Our next Zoom meeting is going to take place on Friday, the 26th of
March, between 10 and 12 noon CET (that, I think, will also be
practically the last moment to use "CET" in a time stamp, so maybe we
should bring some bottles along).
That is going to be a meeting preceding the release-0.2 meeting in
April, and what I primarily hope to achieve at it will be to gather
feedback on the nearly mythical whitepaper that I have promised to
circulate this week, and that is definitely not finished yet, due to a
load of other commitments that I haven't been able to put aside. You saw
pieces of it at our last meeting, and some new developments in the
infrastructure are going to happen towards the end of the next week.
(But I'll do my best to put together a distributable draft first,
anticipating those developments.) Another thing I'm hoping for is to be
able to assign roles for some emerging hand-on tasks (such as adding to
the format inventory at github, etc.)
In order for us to proceed more smoothly and perhaps finalize the date
of the April meeting during the March meeting, I have opened a new
doodle, for dates between the 12th and the 16th of April. This is in
accordance with the modification of release periods that some of you
have explicitly, and others have implicitly agreed to in connection with
my proposal to move the May CLARIN Cafe to July. I am hoping that
release 0.2 will already take place with SIS-based visualization (or at
least that we will have made significant steps towards that).
The link to the new doodle is: https://doodle.com/poll/9adibnyzmtdi5bea
Thanks and best wishes (and stay tuned for another message from me,
later today),
Piotr
