CLARIN ERIC in collaboration with the Centre Digital Humanities of Utrecht University are organising an in-person workshop on ParlaMint. See the announcement below.

Title: CDH/CLARIN workshop: ParlaMint - An introduction to Multilingual Parliamentary Data by Anna Kryvenco and Kristina Pahor de Maiti
This workshop is designed for researchers working with parliamentary data to study socio-cultural topics. After an introduction to ParlaMint, a corpus of parliamentary proceedings from 29 European countries and regions, the participants will learn to use the CLARIN.SI noSketchEngine<https://www.clarin.si/ske/#dashboard?corpname=parlamint41_xx> concordance and TEITOK<https://lindat.mff.cuni.cz/services/teitok/parlamint-41/> service, to query and analyse this data, which is available in original languages and machine-translated English. The programme focuses on mastering search techniques, from basic strings to complex CQL queries, and interpreting results alongside speaker and speech metadata. Attendees will also explore sentiment and topic analysis from the ParlaCAP project, ultimately applying these skills to digital humanities research questions.
The language of instructions is English.
