Two actions are now needed urgently to prepare for the User Involvement
Group meeting in Aix-en-Provence at the annual conference, if you
haven't already:

1. Someone needs to sign up from each country to attend the meeting, via
the webform at
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScMXmx9V8MZXxq7lrWrOwNQjpQm2tcPUnb74xjanFjbcEEStw/viewform

2. Please complete the webform at
https://www.clarin.eu/group-page/webform-submitting-user-involvement-activities
with outline information on all of your user involvement activities. The
main business of the meeting will be to aggregate and review this
information, and it is needed for the annual report on activities this
year at the conference. If you want your country to be represented in
the conference presentation on user involvement, please fill in the form!

Furhter details are given again below, and please get in touch if you
have any questions.

As you know, a meeting of the CLARIN User Involvement Group, with
participation invited from all CLARIN countries, will take place as a
pre-conference workshop at the CLARIN Annual Conference 2016, in
Aix-en-Provence, 9:00 to 11:15 on Wednesday 26 October. The meeting will
have the topic 'Measuring Engagement, Usage and Impact of CLARIN in the
Humanities and Social Sciences', and will be a practical workshop on
recording, measuring, aggregating and disseminating evidence of the
uptake and added value of the CLARIN infrastructure. This will be an
important event for gathering evidence for the CLARIN annual reports,
and we hope that at least one person from each CLARIN member country
will attend.

Participants will need to arrive in Aix on Tuesday 25 October in order
to be there in time for the meeting. The meeting will take place at 9:00
before the NCF meeting, so it will be possible for national coordinators
to attend.

You will have seen that the CLARIN ERIC webpages have been updated to a
new design. There is now a new landing page for user involvement
activities, with links to key documents. This can be found at:

https://www.clarin.eu/user-involvement

The best way to start preparing for the event in October is to ensure
that our records for user involvement activities in your country are up
to date. Please let us know what has been happening since the last
annual conference via the webform at:

  https://www.clarin.eu/group-page/webform-submitting-user-involvement-activities <https://www.clarin.eu/group-page/webform-submitting-user-involvement-activities>
(also linked from the page above)

Or send me details if you already have records online or in another
format. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

Best wishes,
Martin
