Dear FIM4R, (and REFEDS),

Although the AARC project has only started for a few months, we have
started the preparation for AARC2 [2].

To help us identifying use-cases, I've prepared a very short form to ask
for use-cases:

https://docs.google.com/a/terena.org/forms/d/1xHaCINRaizjWfY6K-4-1O9z81NAyBsmxtJNSNGXSICU/viewform

I appreciate it's not easy to provide new use-case as we have already
asked for requirements and we are not quite sure what AARC will solve at
the end of the 2 year. Nonetheless I'd encourage you to give it a try.

As the call suggests [1], the work on AARC2 should focus on user-driven
innovation and pilots on existing e-Infrastructures to respond to
user-community challenges. I think common challenges are really about
making federated access work for more communities and to achieve SSO
across e-Infrastructures. So use-cases along these lines will be rated
higher.

I can provide a short update on the upcoming FIM4R.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Licia

[2] We are finalising some guidelines for the consortium for AARC2.
We'll share them asap.
