Dear All,

Koenraad De Smedt has joined this mailing list as a liaison with the
BoD. Dear Koenraad: welcome! :-)

Just like the monthly reports (now somewhat neglected, but see below), I
believe that this is a very good move towards animating maybe not so
much our work (because as far as I have gathered from off-list
communication and meetings, we're all busy in our areas) as rather the
communication/dissemination aspect of it.

Speaking of the reporting and my own activity on this list, or rather
the recent lack of it: the half of me that is a member of the Grammar
department at our Institute is tied up with the upcoming evaluation, but
that is going to be over a week from now, and I will be free to return
to the CSC business. The other half of me can be seen active at TEI-L
and could be seen active here in Berlin in the past few days, at DARIAH
and DIN meetings, as well as in the deliverable document (4.2) of the
Standards Work Package of the PARTHENOS project, but I have yet to think
on how (if at all) I can weave this into a mention in the monthly
reports at https://trac.clarin.eu/wiki/CSC%3A%20Monthly%20reports

Lastly, I'd like to remind you of the existence of the CSC space at
GitHub: https://github.com/clarin-eric/standards

I have proposed several projects there that can be manned (or
"personned" ;-)) with the Committee members, at
https://github.com/clarin-eric/standards/projects -- which by the sacred
laws of GitHub you can't access unless you join Penny, Charly, Tomaž,
Andreas and me as official members of the CSC GitHub space -- all that I
need for this is your GitHub user name.

Best regards,

   Piotr
