[Standards] proposal: using a common mime type for TEI files

Dear Standards Committee and CLARIN developers,

During the test procedure of the Language Resource switchboard we
discovered that there are various ways to refer to the mimetype of TEI
files, some examples in the wild:

http://hdl.handle.net/10932/00-01B8-B32C-BBDA-A601-0
uses "text/xml" (IDS)

http://hdl.handle.net/11858/00-203C-0000-0029-FA2E-A
uses "application/xml" (BBAW)

Of course this is correct, but a bit underspecified.

Now there is a IANA-approved
(http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/media-types.xhtml) RFC that
recommends to use "application/tei+xml":

http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6129

Hence my proposal for a CLARIN recommendation to use
"application/tei+xml" for TEI files. Would you agree? Or did I overlook
something?

best regards,
