[CLARIN-LIB] CLARIN and Libraries: workshop update

Dear all,

Andreas Witt and I have decided to postpone the planned CLARIN online 
events on 15 October on the theme of 'CLARIN and Libraries', since it 
now seems that we won't be able to hold the face-to-face event in the 
Netherlands in December. We believe that a physical meeting is 
essential, since we are trying to create a new community and encourage a 
'brain-storm' about the issues and priorities, and these things are 
difficult to do online. The plan is now to arrange a face-to-face event 
in Germany in the Spring, to which you will, of course be invited, and 
we'll let you know as soon as we start making further plans.

Apologies for the delay in letting you know about the latest plans. Like 
everyone else, we've been trying to work out what is possible and the 
best way to proceed under constantly changing conditions in different 
countries. We have set up this new email list to keep in contact with 
the various people in many different countries who have expressed an 
interest in this area. Please encourage others to join the list.
