Hi CLARIN ERIC developers,

The much anticipated SSL encryption for connections to our Subversion
server was activated today. http://svn.clarin.eu/ redirects to
https://svn.clarin.eu/. As you may have noticed, a few issues with the
Trac were also solved.

Always use encryption for any actions that require
authentication/authorization from now on, please.

A problem appeared after this transition, in that some SVN externals
definitions contained absolute URLs (see commit message for r2362 |
sanmai | 2012-11-19 15:10:52 +0100 (Mon, 19 Nov 2012)). Modern
Subversion allows for relative URLs.

So always use relative URLs in the svn:externals property, please.

I think that everything will work okay now. The rest of this and next
week (and Dieter will also be busy this week) I will be unavailable. In
case of problems, please bear this in mind. Best of luck with the
improved platforms!

Best regards,
Sander Maijers
