There is also a news post about the launch of the call<https://www.oscars-project.eu/news/oscars-launches-its-1st-open-call-open-science-projects-and-services>. The video recording of the launch event is available on YouTube<https://youtu.be/aBg14R2S83s>. As we would like to ensure that our community can benefit from this important funding initiative, we ask you to share the news about the call, as well as the related posts on X<https://twitter.com/oscars_eu/status/1769705069648261380> and LinkedIn<https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7175471671644987392> with your network. #Background

The OSCARS project<https://oscars-project.eu/> brings together world-class European Research Infrastructures (RIs) in the ESFRI roadmap and beyond to foster the uptake of Open Science in Europe. These RIs are part of the five Science Clusters (Humanities and Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Photon and Neutron Science, Astronomy, Nuclear and Particle Physics), which have strived to make open data easily accessible to the users and the public, by providing FAIR data management policies and practices for enabling Open Science. The Science Clusters are an integral part of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) initiative and, through OSCARS, will further contribute to its development and implementation process. Through a cascading grant mechanism, a broad range of research communities will be involved for the development of new, innovative Open Science projects, that together will drive the uptake of FAIR-data-intensive research throughout the European Research Area (ERA).

Best,

Darja
