FYI
Dear all,
We are pleased to announce that both the ECHOES Consultation and the
first call of the ECHOES Cascading Grants Programme are now live and
available on the ECHOES website.
ECHOES CONSULTATION: HELP SHAPE THE CULTURAL HERITAGE CLOUD
The ECHOES Consultation aims to map diverse cultural heritage
communities, understanding their needs and expectations for the Cultural
Heritage Cloud. Your contributions will help shape the Cloud with and
for heritage communities. As a first step, we have launched an online
questionnaire [1] to identify heritage professionals and researchers and
explore their use of digital tools in daily work. The results will guide
the development of the Cloud's infrastructure, tools, services,
training, and community-building efforts.
* Who can participate? All cultural heritage stakeholders, including
professionals, researchers, computer scientists, developers,
institutions, and umbrella organisations.
* Deadline: The questionnaire will remain open until April 2025.
ECHOES CASCADING GRANTS: FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR CHIS
The First Call of the ECHOES Cascading Grants Programme supports
cultural heritage institutions in contributing datasets for use within
the Cultural Heritage Cloud. Proposals should define the dataset's
intended user community, purpose, expected outcomes, and broader
benefits. Applicants should also outline how they envision using the
Cloud for their project.
* Funding: Up to EUR60,000 for a maximum of 12 projects.
* Who can apply? Any CHI based in a Horizon Europe country, either
independently or as the lead partner of a consortium. We particularly
encourage applications from smaller, medium-sized, and under-resourced
CHIs, as well as interdisciplinary consortia.
* Deadline: Proposals must be submitted by 15 May 2025 (23:59 CEST).
* How to apply? The submission platform will open in April 2025, and
an Info Day will be organised in the coming weeks. More details,
including the full Guide for Applicants, can be found here [2].
Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
Best regards,
Francesca Frontini and Iulianna van der Lek on behalf of WP4 ECHOES Team
