CLARIN ERIC: open position for a Software developer / System Administrator

CLARIN ERIC is looking for a person with software development and system administration skills. Our ideal candidate is a quick learner, proactive and eager to make things work. He or she can deal with stress (high amounts of emails) and enjoys working in an international context (this includes frequent video conferences and occasional traveling to attend meetings). For more information see http://clarin.eu/node/3888

LREC special: CLARIN related accepted papers Many CLARIN partners are represented with demos and papers at LREC 2014

We would like to help to publicize the papers, and to give people an overview of the range of CLARIN-related activity. We would therefore like to ask each CLARIN partner presenting at LREC to provide us with the publication details so we can appropriately feature it. Please enter your paper at http://clarin.eu/webform/lrec-2014-clarin-related-publicatons

Talk of Europe: Travelling CLARIN Campus

In 2014-2015 the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), VU University Amsterdam (VUA), DANS and Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision (NISV) will collaborate on the Talk of Europe - Travelling CLARIN Campus project (ToE-TCC). This initiative of CLARIN ERIC and CLARIN-NL is made possible by support from NWO (Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research) and OCW (Ministry of Education, Culture and Science). ToE-TCC is a follow-up on the PoliMedia project in which these partners collaborated previously. For more information see http://www.talkofeurope.eu/

Mobility Grants

In order to enhance integration within CLARIN at the human resources level, and thus to reduce the risk of creating a two-speed CLARIN a Mobility Grant scheme has been set up. This should allow researchers and technical staff working at (candidate) centres in national CLARIN consortia in CLARIN ERIC member countries (or organisations) to pay short visits (typically up to 1 week) to CLARIN centres in other countries. This Grant scheme will be continued in 2014. There are no specific deadlines: applications can be submitted on a continuing basis, and will be evaluated/approved by the CLARIN ERIC Board of Directors. For more information see: http://www.clarin.eu/news/clarin-eric-mobility-grant-scheme-has-been-set

EUDAT call

EUDAT has recently published a call for collaboration projects. This might be an interesting opportunity to combine your CLARIN-compatible resources and tools with the EUDAT services:

Cleaner Centre registry URL

The CLARIN centre registry is now accessible via: http://centres.clarin.eu/. Please note that the old address http://centerregistry-clarin.esc.rzg.mpg.de is still available, but the shorter version is easier to remember and will be more future proof.
